problem to find the length

Length is the long dimension of any object. The length of a thing is the distance between its ends.

Here in this there is a line and some part of it is already used and the total length of a line is given,we have to find the length on the next part.

Question:-

Sierra had 8.25 feet of plastic wrap ,she used 3.75 feet .How much
plastic wrap does sierra have left


Answer:-

Let's take 8.25 feet plastic wrap

         8.25 feet

Sierra used 3.75 feet

                      3.75feet
|____________________ _ _ _ _ _ _|


To find the remaining part ,we have to remove the used part.


So 8.25-3.75=4.5 feet

      4.5 feet
|___________________|

So the answer is 4.5 feet.
